Oblong Children's Christian Home – Oblong, Illinois
The vision of the Oblong Children’s Christian Home is excellence in providing Christian home and programs for at-risk and troubled youth where they are disciplined to become responsible, productive, maturing Christians.
Trip Information
Trip Requirements
- 6 years old or older (Minors must be accompanied by an adult)
- Complete a volunteer background check and trip paperwork
- Attend all pre-trip team meetings.
- Attend a Global 101 class. View Global 101 Class Dates>
Team Meetings
Global Teams Training Day: Sunday, Sept. 28, 8:30am-2:00pm.
2-3 more meetings will be scheduled with your team leader.
Cost
Cost for trip is $50. Trip cost is due upon registration. All trip deposits are non-refundable.
Trip Cost Does NOT Include: travel expenses (contribution towards the driver’s gas), and 2 fast-food meals (driving down to Oblong & back to Parkview).”
Trip Accomodations
The team will stay overnight in homes on the property. Participants are asked to bring a sleeping bag, pillow and air mattress for sleeping on the floor. Meals on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday will be provided by Oblong Christian Children’s Home.
