Trip Description

Jump into this brand-new opportunity to serve our city! This team from Parkview will be working alongside our friends at New Life Community Church in Chicago located in the Little Village and Humboldt Park neighborhoods to learn about urban ministry. During these 3 days, you will experience working with inner-city food pantries, helping facilitate neighborhood peace block parties, assisting migrant families to life in America and equipping the neighborhood churches. Serve in your own backyard and see your impact in a way you may not have imagined!

Trip Requirements

  • 16 years old or older (Minors must be accompanied by an adult)
  • Complete a volunteer background check and trip paperwork
  • Have a passport that is valid 6 months after return date of trip.
  • Attend all pre-trip team meetings.
  • Attend a Global 101 class. View Global 101 Class Dates>

Team Meetings

May 6th & June 22nd.

Cost

$50 – Initial Deposit

$100 – Needed by March 1, 2025

$200 – Needed by May 1, 2025

Trip Cost Includes: overnight accommodations, meals, transportation (team will carpool into Chicago and drivers will be compensated), and project costs.

The cost of this Global Trip is subject to change due to flight & fuel costs.

All trip deposits are non-refundable.  Once airline tickets are purchased for the team, all trip costs are non-refundable. 

Trip Accomodations

The team will stay overnight in bunk-bed rooms at the Rockwell Chicagoland Baptist Housing in Humbolt Park.  Participants are asked to bring their own linens, towels, and toiletries. Meals will include light breakfasts and lunches prepared by the team and dinners at local restaurants.
