Trip Description

Join our friends at Missions of Hope International (MOHI) in the capitol city of Nairobi to get oriented with the mission of bringing an unforgettable experience of VBS to the rural region of Nyeri. Then travel to Nyeri to host a VBS experience and inspire students nurture their spiritual growth and develop a relationship with Jesus while building lifelong bonds. Time may also be spent serving in the community alongside MOHI staff. This awesome trip will conclude with a beautiful safari experience!

Trip Requirements

  • 16 years old or older (Minors must be accompanied by an adult)
  • Complete a volunteer background check and trip paperwork
  • Have a passport that is valid 6 months after return date of trip.
  • Attend all pre-trip team meetings.
  • Attend a Global 101 class. View Global 101 Class Dates>

Team Meetings

Global Teams Training Day: Sat, Feb 1st, 8:30am-2:00pm.

2-3 more meetings will be scheduled with your team leader.

Cost

$360 – Initial Deposit

$1800 – Needed by March 1, 2025

$3632 – Needed by May 1, 2025

Trip Cost Includes: airfare, overnight accommodations, meals, transportation during the trip, medical travel insurance and project costs.

The cost of this Global Trip is subject to change due to flight & fuel costs.

All trip deposits are non-refundable.  Once airline tickets are purchased for the team, all trip costs are non-refundable.  

Trip Accomodations

The team will stay in double-occupancy guest house rooms.  Food will include Kenyan meals prepared by the MOHI guest house staff and area restaurants.
